A Super Bowl Party may not be a holiday, but to some it certainly is the ultimate sports celebration. And celebrations call for good food. Whether you're a die-hard sports fan or just eager to check out the commercials, no Super Bowl Sunday would be complete without friends, family and fabulous food.
Your friends have gathered 'round the television ready to cheer their favorite team. You want to make sure that you have plenty of Super Bowl snacks and food to keep those fans happy. If you're like me, you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen on Super Bowl Sunday but you do want to have delicious food and snacks on hand. And of course you don't want to forget the beverages. With all that cheering going on, your friends will need to quench their thirsts.
Chips and dips are always a hit with the crowd. You can serve Bacon Ranch Dip with cut vegetables, or a French onion dip with potato chips. And Dill Dip for pretzels will be a favorite of your sports fans. A snack mix in the center of the crowd makes it handy to grab a handful and pop in your mouth.
Big thick sandwiches or meat and cheese rolled up in tortilla shells make good eats for your Super Bowl party. A big bowl of cole slaw or potato salad goes great with the sandwiches. Baked beans are an easy and delicious favorite of sports fans as well as a big pot of chili.
You may even want to have drinking games for extra entertainment at your party. One game could be beer pong. Instead of trying to bounce a ball into the beer, you may want to set up a mock football field and sit glasses of beer by the goal posts and side lines and make your game surround the football game itself. Heads up! Remember to drink responsibly and be a responsible host.
